I like how they try to avoid the rape connotation by saying that the women also can't resist it. But yeah, it still gives off rapey vibes.

It's the authors of these types of Harlequin novels. For some reason they think that all women have this fantasy of wanting "big, strong men" who are commanding and domineering and somehow that translates to wanting to fantasize about a guy forcing them into bed. All of which is WRONG. I mean, maybe SOME women feel that way (and obviously either the authors seem to feel that way to some degree or they are just WAY out of touch with reality), but for the most part, it isn't true. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I wish they would stop romanticizing all these toxic behaviors.
These people was really scary. If they find their flame bride or whatsoever, they will immediately sexually harassed them akin to rape.
It's fortunate that they're wealthy. Just imagine if these people are ordinary John Doe, I'm sure they either get restraining order or arrested...
