If the author didn’t want the subtle bromance I don’t think they would make it so subjective... in any case it keeps people wondering. I think it’s good that people have their own opinions and expressing them. Calling inoffensive opinions disrespectful is pretty questionable...Just like you’re doing right now, others can complain or rant their feelings in the comments as well before committing the act of dropping the manga or even maybe continuing the read ... (⌒▽⌒)
Also this is pretty obvious for me but i think that if this were the same as shoujo were there’s a friendship between two females and love interest towards males then people wouldn’t react like this....not to mention most of the readers are probably crazy fujoshi’s (me ) because we are literally on a yaoi manga site....
Ps: unless your talking about some other platform, this is an illegal sites and all the comments posted here are most likely not seen by the author what’s so ever. Also, maybe not in his case but in general the tags aren’t always right, they change quite often because it’s the readers that chose them...
On another note, personally I’m with the crowd that says this should be shounen ai ╥﹏╥ it’s not my fault I’m this way, I’m just build like this. I just finished reading the latest chapter of owari no seraph (don’t ask why I finally decided to tackle it now lol) and I was looking for other vampire/human vibe manga, so I found this and checked it out. Funny enough after reading a few pages I remembered myself dropping this last year because I mentally couldn’t handle them not being together (/TДT)/ ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I am also a fujoshi but I don't see why a chemistry between two males characters has to be seen necessarily as love. That's what I critique. Just being intimate doesn't mean to be in love and attracted by someone.
I don't critique people for having their own opinion. I critique people who forces a straight character to be gay just because he has a good chemistry with another male character when the tag clearly says 'shounen'.
It's like I complain if the protagonist of a shoujo manga doesn't end up with her female friend and instead fall in love with a male character, even when she has a really good chemistry with her female friend. That's what I complain about.
So, if you want to ship the couple in your fantasy is perfectly fine. Everyone is free to ship every character with the one they want, but complaining officially and seriously because the two male leads don't end up together as couple. That's not respectful towards the author. This is my opinion.
And please, you should check out again... This is NOT a yaoi site. Probably that's just the genre you read here, but this site contains EVERY genre. ( ̄∇ ̄")
Myreadingmanga. That's an yaoi /shounen ai site

You're right, and to be honest I like when that happens. For example I liked how in Liar Lily a shoujo manga there were many LGBTQ couples but generally I should expect from the tag how the couples would be.
And I think it's really poor from some people not distinguish love from friendship.
But some readers are really amazing (in the had sense)... Just seeing two male or female characters look at each others or having a good feeling and they start shipping them as if love is the only possible relationship between them. I wonder if they ever heard about friendship, lol
I think all people absolutely wanting Noah and Vanitas to end up together are really not respectful of the author's point of view and will. I understand your point of view but just like you have your preferences, the author has their own. I say this as a fujoshi. Just like I attack people hating when some sensei portrays love between two males, I find it extremely rude for people attacking Muchizuki-sensei for wanting and making Vanitas fall in love with Jeanne.
The author is free to portray what they want: both gays or straight relationship and its rude to someone's preference to meddle with it. In this case, what Mochizuki sensei wanted to portray is a really good friendship between Noah and Vanitas and their respective love interests. Just like in shoujos there is friendship between two females and love interest towards males.
The tag is 'shounen', not 'shonen ai' so the author didn't really said the story would have implied some love story between Noah and Vanitas. It's like if someone who prefers male-female relationships starts to complain when they see love between two males in a 'shounen ai' tag. I mean: you knew it's shounen ai, why you read it in the first place if you can't bear with it? It's the same with Vanitas. It's 'shounen' so you should have expected this could end up like this.
So... If you don't like it, then I'll say you exactly what I say to these BL's haters: DROP IT AND GO FIND SOMETHING YOU LIKE, if you're not contentected with how the story is developing.
