I just don't get it.

I understand that Ingrid manipulated Reagan to get him to marry her for her own personal goal. Yes it was a trashy way to go about doing it, and she shouldn't have forced him. However, I don't see how Reagen loses anything in this situation. She clearly wants nothing from him outside of being his wife in name and deals with his mood swings whenever. She seems to be concerned about his health, and if Reagen finds that annoying fine, I get that he didn't want her in the first place. She takes care of the house for him, and does all the work. Ingrid has never stopped him from doing what he's been doing since the dawn of time. She's a respectable wife with good family background and loved by the king so no one can complain that he's married to an unfit woman and talk down on them. Outside of her underhanded methods, Reagen stands to lose nothing but his pride. He doesn't have to love her, he doesn't have to like her, hell he doesn't even half to respect her cause she knows that she is also in the wrong and understands the treatment she receives from him is (in some way) understandable. Just don't sit here and tell me that Reagen life is just so fucked up now cause she forced him to marry her cause as we all can see it was fucked way before she entered the picture.

So basically you're ok with (fictional) force marriage.
Because you seem to find argument legitimating what she did that caused all this mess and aggravated his mental health issues.

It's not okay, but looking at the time period it seems standard enough to me. But disregarding the time period, his mental health issue would have worsened with her in his life or not. Left alone or not you can't tell me he wasn't going on a downward spiral before their marriage and that he would have made a beneficial change for himself seeing as his family history and personal past are terrible. It also doesn't appear that his family is concerned for his well being personally outside of him ruining his/their reputation.

Seeing as he is going to be stuck with her regardless I say reek the benefits from it. Were she forced to marry the king of the other country would we feel the same for her or were that king nice to her would we be rooting for them to have a happy marriage? Double standard here is that we would be reading an entirely different story and feel differently were she to go through with her original arranged marriage, but I digress. All Im saying is that he was put in a situation that is advantageous to him, albeit unwanted, and that he gains more from it then she does.

I completely agree. And I shall say that even if you can feel a little sorry for him, the way he acted and played his part was so terrible... He's just a sorry ass, not adult enough to deal with frustrations. He really needs to grow the fuck up.
    Kinda sad he's the ML.

She manages the house and is decent, nice and all but she will never be his, right? Like, completely. Imagine falling for someone you knew very well you shouldn't. This is why he keeps acting the way he is cause he knows he is losing control and doesn't want to accept the fact that he is falling for her.

It is sad for now, but if this is going to be a good story I can see a redemption arc in the mix. We already saw Hector and Ingrid move on, now it is Reagen’s turn. We are already starting to see a shift anyways. Although, who knows how long it will take for him to actually change.

Old topic, Vegeta from DBZ had an extremely long redemption arc. It took years!

Yes, I totally agree and that's the underlying issue. He's falling in love with her and doesn't know how to deal with it. Because of this, he deals with it the only way he knows how, irrationally and in turn makes himself feel worse (kinda wish they would just talk and Reagen would stop jumping to conclusions but that's gonna take a minute). Ingrid is no saint and I highly doubt she expected to receive any love from him whatsoever, but she is to blame for this. However, if people are going to get mad at forced marriages in a historical webtoon then never read any medieval/viking/old European webtoon or manga cause let me tell you, them nobles be selling off their daughters to the highest bidder for wealth and power. Sometimes if the person they are married to is nice or even just a little bit handsome people be rooting for them to have a happy marriage as if she wasn't forced into it. Plus, it was standard for the time and normalized part of society so I don't see why a woman's father can sell their daughter off to a foreign king, but when she makes her own arranged marriage it suddenly the most heinous crime imaginable. Yeah, she's wrong and did mess up his life to some extent, but that largely stems from Reagen growing affection and inability to deal with that affection.

That's true. Reagan's probably not used to dealing with a person like Ingrid that's why he acts so erratically around her. He also doesn't have very good friends or peers and being an illegitimate child isn't very close with his family (except for the brother who already died). Basically there's pretty much no one to help him cope or deal with the changes in his life.
