I LOVE Ogawa Chise. Here is how I interpreted your criteria (please tell me if I'm wrong) and some mangas that I think meet them: You need to take a breather after Ogawa-sensei's stuff, so something not too heavy, not too messed up. Likeable characters speaks for itself. By sensible plot, I assumed you wanted something not too unrealistic like Crimson Spell, something a little believable. I think these all have pretty good art. Some are just decent, but others are really gorgeous. I tried to avoid stereotypes like overly jealous/possessive seme and girly ukes. I don't think they're particularly funny (maybe a scene or two, but I don't remember), but they have heartwarming moments and they are enjoyable to read, in my opinion. I know how you feel. Ogawa-sensei is amazing, but sometimes, her works get really overwhelming, you just have to take a break from them. hahah same with Yoneda Kou's works too.
Whenever I want a breather, works by Ichikawa Kei and Takarai Rihito are always refreshing. They're slow paced and mostly slice-of-life. You can never go wrong with Ichikawa-sensei :D

Hi! I read some of Ogawa sensei's works and uhh.. my heart needs to rest. XD Please recommend a yaoi with likeable characters, sensible plot and good art. Like, no exaggeratedly jealous seme and overly feminine uke.. But if its funny, then Ill welcome it. Anything fluffy. Or not necessarily light, just as long it makes one squirm and all. :)
