Maybe... Like I said, I only saw (at most) 3 or 5. The others were like “OMG imagine if this manga was like a real kpop group” or stuff like that but never comparing to real people :/

i think it’s just best to leave fiction in fiction. there’s already a bunch of toxic fetishization amongst the kpop shipping community (its just super weird and makes me uncomfy tbh...like not only are they fetishizing gay men but also writing porn of two people because they think they’re secretly fucking or that they SHOULD fuck) and any kind of comparison or allusion to this and real life....it’s not good.

I agree. I only ship fictional characters and didn’t even know kpop shipping was a thing before his?? Wtf??? It’s crazy how many people take it seriously, like I see people start shipping idols together bc they LOOKED in their direction... Ha??

I stg I find one everytime I check the comments after a new chapter lol, some outright and others implied.

Or also the ppl who assume us talking about the very real issue of fetishzation is homophobic bec "idols can be gay too" (can't even remember how many times I've explained that ppl are bringing up the issue with shipping members together, like no one's saying an idol in general can't be gay).

idols can be gay too but do they really think it’s appropriate for them to write about two people they don’t know having sex...also assuming that all men who are close and unafraid to show that they platonically love their guy friends just adds to the whole “men can’t show affection towards their friends because that makes them gay” stigma. ALSO let’s say that both idol members WERE gay and hell, they were even dating each other. do they really think it’s appropriate for them to write fan fiction of them having sex...how can they not see it as fetishization. if you wanna write a fic about kpop stars literally just use OCs. stop writing about real people. it’s scary.

Honestly, like I can't believe this even needs to be explained, or that people argue with that. Anyone's sexuality is none of your business. Them being an idol doesn't change that.

I remember in an anonymous page for my school, someone who was clearly a guy posted about how he saw two lesbians walking hand in hand on campus, and then started fantasizing about them and used them as material. It was just so nasty, and these stupid fanfic writers don't understand how gross that is, urgh.
