Orz, must have forgot he said that. Still though, it would make the speculation stronger, that our Athy is really the real Athy. How exciting!
Yeah! Lucas did imply that she has gone through two lifetimes before.. First the real Athy, then as an orphaned girl (i.e, before her reincarnation)..
I hadn’t connected it at first when I saw Athy can travel or like teleport from space to space but—warning: speculation only:
What if Athy is the real Athy but like she is a powerful space-time magician and then on the day she died, her space-time magic teleported her soul to Modern world where she forgot her past life and read the book, My Lovely Princess. Then, when she died again, her soul returned or teleported back to her real world, with space magic being the one responsible for the dimension travel and time being the cause for everything to go back to the beginning.
Since she is fairly inexperienced, her travel between dimensions were probably heavily influenced by emotion. For the first travel, it would be a desire to escape and for the second, with the influence of reading the Lovely Princess, a desire to change the past since she pitied Book!Athy.
Now, I may be wrong with the reasons but I am quite confident with the magic because we are shown Athy using her power to teleport, therefore, her magic is either space-time manipulation or space only.
If this is true then the plot had come full circle and as Athy said, “it all adds up”, providing us readers the logic of the novel. And that the isekai is not just a one time random thing.
