ikr, I wish white hair kid didnt catch feelings and just liked Jeanette just like the book. But i feel like book wants to use jeanettes hidden loneliness as the final boss villain

Actually white boy liked athy in the past as well. He only was married to jennette because of his father. But honestly I am pretty sure athy will end up with lucus because it's quite obvious the direction of the story and how it will be going. Also I doubt so for the manga (you were referring to this right?) That wanted to use jennette as a final boss as the story is taking a different turn from the original novel (not the novel lovely princess in this manga) with her real father showing up. Thus, she won't really be alone? I mean that's how the plot seems to be moving.

I mean for the manga ofc. but even then, having the white hair boy liking athy at all is just unnecessary 2nd male lead syndrome. there is no FlaVoR in that ship unlike Athy x Lucas. Also the manga is stretching out the arc to really hammer in how no one is by Jeanettes side and I feel bad for her actually cos shes just a kid that have been brainwashed to yearn for Claude as her father, and now even the white haired boy blatantly say he loves Athy differently from her. I have a feeling that the manhwa really deviating from the novel and now is just suckerpunching jeanette till she decides to side with evil.

True and in the original novel the story took a cliche turn with Jeannette turning into a villain. But since Jennette's father appear I think in the end she will just be with her father hopefully. And true I thought it was quite unnecessary and just plain cliches. Like all the people around her especially with guys around her age falling for her and to most she suddenly or slowly becomes their first priority.Its great she's getting love but I prefer if it wasn't just like most other manga.Not that I ship white boy with Jeannette since they don't have any chemistry imo but like pretty typical kind second lead never gets the girl and stuff.
