They are Korean students in the US. Dojin feels uncomfortable with the Koreans because of how rumors spread so quickly within the Korean community, especially because of how they spread rumors about him before. As for Taehee, they don’t seem to consider him truly Korean, as they describe him as a twinkie/banana, meaning they consider him more white than Korean because he’s American born
