i think whats happening is that theyre integrating with rei, not disappearing. But because they're integrating with rei, kazuha feels like they've "disappeared". And no one has explained to yuuma what's happening, so he thinks that they will effectovely "disappear"

Yea that's the thing they can't just Intergrate from my understanding I think they never truly go away and even that has to be achieved with years of therapy under careful environment not with the mc mentioning all the personalities left and right and curing him with the power of love and a mcflurry I just feel like it's Trivializing the disorder while saying that I do understand it's just yaoi and what not I just felt iffy because she could be written it as a lovely story when the mc supports the ml through therapy and tries learning more about how to act around him instead of this magical mcflurry cure and healing with the power of love

no problem, you pointed out really good things. i read the rest of the raws and i really do think it was a good heartfelt attempt for emotion and sensitivity, but that this is a lot to shoehorn in only 2 volumes so it ended up fairly clumsy esp with the sex stuff going on...
i don't think things are trivialized for the most part, just sadly underdeveloped for what it could be but it's disheartening sometimes to see comments say stuff like "wow DID is sexy" and just know part of that comes from the sex (i know sex isn't your only issue ><).
but i did see the author comment that her editors requested for more sex content cuz it's BL when the author originally intended not to have as much due to the subject... kinda sad.

but the last chapter is really amazing for all of them, so that will be something to look forward to!! i cried so much, i was really surprise to actually cry cuz i was all tense because of the subject matter and being scared the author was gonna pull something really bad haha
i rooting for kazuha too but i was getting a sinking feeling when he couldn't feel mutsumi integrate... like irl alters don't only merge with the host... but given the length of the series i was like oh no... ┗( T﹏T )┛

I get that this is just a yaoi but I wish she did a little more research into this disorder because it seems like the author just read the first page of the google search of DID and ran with it.
The alters are not going to simply disappear.... It's not like souls or ghosts who have unfinished business on earth
After saying that damn I really like kazuha I hope he nukes the other alters and wins but reading it the mc always uses rei first when naming the personalities he even worries the most for rei so it's very very clear who hes leaning towards.
I feel like in the end it's just going to be kazuha and rei since integration is not always the end goal of treatment and some people prefer to establish communication with their alters
