I agree with you to a certain extent. However, you need to keep in mind that Japan treats gay people vastly different compared to the west. You're not allowed to get married to someone of the same gender, things like that. Japanese people in general (and I think this is true for a lot of Asian countries) are pressured to get married and have children. This is what's expected of them. This is one of their many roles in society. Breaking free from that role takes a lot of courage and strength, so the fact that he was able to correct his wrongdoings is applaudable in itself.
Okay, this is touching and all but I still don't like the fact that the seme just left the uke when all the uke did was love him. And how damaging it is for the uke to be replaced by a woman?? And then suddenly they made up. I just wanted to see the seme experience the pain he caused the uke. He was being so so selfish.
