i hate this asw, i forced myself to read the three chapters, and i hated every single one. like one of the biggest things in bdsm is consent, consent is the most important thing. and all i saw were boundaries being violated for the sake of it being violated. these type of stories just perpetuate a toxic mentality on how the bdsm community actually is, and im scared abt how many young people who read this are gonna think that this is what is actually acceptable.

its just a yaoi at the end of the day, yeah, but there are obviously going to be tons of young underaged people reading stuff like this even tho its r18. i say this as someone who started reading yaoi at age 11; reading stuff like this definitely influenced a lot of my opinions on what bdsm is abt. theres a difference between bdsm, and the other stuff that you mentioned; because the bdsm community is a real community that has always had an influx of young people who dont know what theyre doing, think that stuff like this is healthy, and as a result end up getting hurt badly.
like i genuinely think that if u write bdsm as it actually is, that you can still achieve a really good dynamic + relationship. like in BJ Alex with the side couple. at the end of the day, it is fiction, but youre underestimating the power of books and its influence.
its fine if you know the difference between reality and fiction, but there are plenty of people who can and will use books/any type of media as a blueprint for how things are. just look at how people use coming of age movies as a blueprint for how their life should be like in highschool when in reality; its a lot less glamorised. a more extreme example being how propaganda has been and is being used in history and the present to influence people's opinions and their beliefs.
a true healthy bdsm relationship always has trust, an actual contract between the concerned people, boundaries, and equal power. in this manga i dont see any of that being fulfilled.
also; youre fine, im just an advocate on how bdsm is portrayed in media. like i get the portrayal of an unhealthy dynamic to show its negative effects, but it looks like this manga is just going to perpetuate stereotypes. obviously, i hope im wrong, but im also not that hopeful.
as someone who has dabbled in the bdsm community it rlly annoyed me to see the seme being called a good dom. first off they didnt even establish a safe word for when the sub really does wanna stop and the sub tells him to stop and untie him multiple time. he basically abuses the sub, if they were gonna do this they shouldve just did a regualar omegaverse and at least the alphas have a reason, they lose control due to omegas scents but theres nothing like that here and its just a dom being a dick to his sub. this is spreading more misinformation on the bdsm community and its rlly getting on my nerves, theres not even any love in this type of dynamic.
