I couldn't imagine bringing yaoi to work either, but a friend borrowed a ton once and gave them back doing break in uni. It was embarrassing as hell... I was like "you do know what you are giving me in public right?" And she was like "oh... (￣∇￣") lol
My friends and I all shared our yaoi manga in high school. We'd bring them to class and read them in front of everyone, and no one knew what we were reading unless you were in the know. It was kinda nerve wracking at first, but then we got used to it. I just read it on my phone in public now instead of paper back. Still gotta be worried about people behind me though when I read smutty scenes.
As a fudanshi, I can really relate to the part where he doesn’t see himself as a bottom as see himself as a straight guy (but it will certainly bend as the story goes on since this is a yaoi,lol) and I will not bring any yaoi-related materials to office for christ sake.
