i don't know EXACTLY what the grandfather meant when he said "in a family, it's not necessary to have a wife right?", but it brought me to tears. not to make this about myself but as a bisexual girl who is more attracted to girls and still hasn't actually come out to anyone irl, those are the type of words i would love to hear. i have kind of spoken to my mum about it but i dont think she understood and brings up getting married to a man or having a husband/boyfriend a lot, and i love her so much but it does sometimes make me uncomfortable but im too scared to say it. huan wen definitely needed to hear those words, anyone who isn't straight (and hasn't come out) would love to hear these types of words. whether the grandfather meant what he said in a romantic sense or "friendship sense", he was incredible for that, he is a really good person. thank god that ji yuan spoke to the grandfather and im so happy for huan wen, i hope he can feel at ease!
