in volume 3 chapter 5, the ML and FL are half-siblings...right? He said her mother was his stepmother...but nothing about separate fathers...

It's unclear, but generally when it comes to godlike existences, the family tree is not as important as it seems. Mythology is like that.

I was thinking the exact same thing I was like,
    “Wait a damn minute-“

Well they are dragons, so I’m not sure if the rules still apply. Also he could have been adopted ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Dragon dude said previous predecessors instead of father/dad so I dont think they have the same father????

A predeccesor is just the ruler before you, meaning it can be your father. The fl's mother was the wife of the predecessor. The ML said she was his stepmother implying it was his dad.

I never apply human rules to nonhuman characters. Many animals in the wild actually procreate with family as genetics don't impact them the same way as humans. It just makes the story more enjoyable if you're bothered by incest.

Probably an adopted son. Maybe the previous head loved her mom so much he didnt remarry, adopted someone from the line or adopted a child that is strong enough to be a head.

And it could also mean hes not the father but previous king. He never said our father or my father and for most dragons stories, the strongest will rule. But yea I choose to believe they aren't related so I'll stick to my theory
