ur comment is probably the only reasonable one I read so far..like fr all I see is people shitting on Jeonghan for making those decisions..his and Kangwoo's relationship really lacked communication and honesty..they both wanted what's best for the other by not sharing what they were going through so it will definitely end..they literally hid their relationship for 8 years..he needed someone that could show him off to people and that's where Gyutae's advantage was..he loved him ever since the 1st time he met him but he didn't know if that was love since his parents had a terrible relationship..also Jeonghan was literally disowned by his own family because he was gay and people need to know how that impacts them mentally so I can truly understand why he did what he did..i really loved how the author decided to go with this plot..I hope Kangwoo gets his own happiness too tho..(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Jeonghan fell in love with Gyu Tae bc he was basically the only person there with him when he was going through his breakup with Kangwoo. And after the two of them started hooking up, Kangwoo stopped approaching Jeonghan. It's kinda unfair to expect Jeonghan to stay in love with Kangwoo when Gyu Tae was with him the whole time while Kangwoo wasn't. Reading up till 47, I realized this isn't really a love triangle and upon realizing that I kinda understand why it went that way. He got attached to Gyu Tae and eventually fell in love. That's it.
tl;dr
Jeonghan didn't choose Gyu Tae bc "he was the meanest to him". Personality didn't matter, just intimacy.
If we really read instead of basing the plot on our own conventions, maybe this story will be bearable to you
