i mean there are some that handle it pretty well, but majority of them treat it as a joke, which is probably even sadder bcus for someyhing like that to be normalized to rhe point of making it a joke, it tells you how bad and common the rape cases the authors are familiar of.

For a lot, it doesn't even seem like they use the rape=love trope for their manga bec of that, it's that they genuinely think raping a straight guy is the only way to get him to fall in love with the male lead.
Like you know how homophobes always expect guys who are sexually-abused by men to be gay? As if there's a correlation between sexual abuse and homosexuality.
It's this internalized homophobia these authors have that really shows in their work (alongside having one of my least favorite tropes, female characters being portrayed as cute for fetishzing the gay couple, as if the couple should be happy).

anyways as much as i dont want to revisit that chap, i was right abt thus manga being incredible and i hope ppl reading this manga would think and stop tolerating rape content which exist in almost every yaoi out there bcus rape is rape, no matter how you look at it
