you have to understand that they are children, their entire lives, they only learned to trust eachother. Even if everyone’s being nice, an abuse victim wont suddenly forget about what a happened and change, IT TAKES TIME. they have negative thoughts. they suffered abuse, thats allowed. You’re also forgetting that people want them dead, they need time and to feel security.
Ah- sorry if I'm wrong but don't they just have the body of children? They're mentally in their 20s if I remember correctly (If not then I must've confused it with another manga xD I've been reading a lot lately)
They do but it’s kinda forgotten but anyways they were still abused and I’m pretty sure they had burn marks a cuts even if there 20 years old in the mind that dosnt exuse that 5 years of straight abuse and two there dad never visited them so it’s not like they will magically like them honestly all those people to them feel like strangers

Yeah you're right, my entire paragraph was completely rude. Since they act so mature, I thought they would've at least soften up to everybody just a little, then forget about the mother and move on. I think it's Ajen that's literally making them both have negative thoughts. I don't know if he says all these thoughts because he wants his sister to also think negative thoughts or it's actually what he thinks. But either way, the maids are treating you nice, your brothers are treating you nice, hell one even used up a whole lot of magic just to create a barrier for the TWO of you. I bet he must be REALLLYY tired. I know I know, they have been abused five years, but shouldn't they realized by now that they are safe? The dad even let them sleep in his bed, he could've made them sleep in some kind of guest room and make the workers fix their rooms as fast as possible, but no, after all these chapters, they are still sleeping in his bed. And he stays awake until they fall asleep. If they don't want this life and still wants to leave? Be. My. Guest. I will gladly swap positions with you any fucking time.
