The End. At least they're happy?

This was not the ending I was expecting/hoped for when I first read this years ago. I thought they are going to have a KS ending, a jail ending (an I-forgive-you-but-you-still-have-to-pay-for-your-crime end), or something like happy-not-actually, pitiful ending like Harada's Nii-chan.

I could tolerate them ending up seemingly happy together but I do think that realistically, it should have taken more time. It went so swift like like: Go die, you rapist > Shit, he actually did it > I have faults too, I now admit > I can't live without you > let's live together. It just feels like there are some vital steps missing in there. Like doood... he kidnapped you and violently raped you for TWO months. Sungho took NINE years to ruminate on his revenge and TWO months exacting it. Three days (?) to forgiveness isn't just going to cut it.

I have read this from the start again just last week and fucking hell, Sungho was VICIOUS! It's easy to forget how cruel and violent he was with these recent chapters but wtf I can't imagine anyone forgiving all his shit just like that with minimal consequences... but apparently Dohyun can.

Well after being free, the MC realized he had nothing and his life was trash. And he was fucking alone.

So when you have nothing better, your standards gets lower. I think that was a major point that led him.to forget his rapist.
