No, its kind of implied in the story if you think about it.
Because Lamia was a duchess in her past life, she died. So in this life, Aquila is making sure that she won't die and "finds her spring again" by making sure that Uri becomes Duke.
Y'know, injuring his hand and stuff. This is what I'm speculating so it's not 100% certain but that theory seems to make the most sense. Although, there is always a chance for some plot twist lol
Aquila is such a bad ML right now, im honestly wondering how the author plans to turn him into a good character, or if they even plan on doing that.
