ah lmfao i didn’t like the direction the story was going so i skimmed a little and then dropped it but a few spoilers i remember are as follows:

(SPOILER DO NOT READ IF U DONT WANT TO BE SPOILED)

basically the backstory is that when he was younger, edwin was actually in line to the throne (even though he didn’t want to be) and neither did his mother. miraculously the day after the emperor (who didn’t have a son before, hence why edwin was in line for the throne) pulled out a hidden heir (blondie, don’t remember his name, i’ll call him ML for now), and because of his hidden origin people suspect he was a product of incest (the king and his younger sister,,, ew).

as for who the mc will end up with, i’m pretty sure it’s gonna be the ML because the real ellen was supposed to kill edwin but he couldn’t do it because he loved edwin. subconsciously it’s implied that edwin also loves ellen back to some degree, but it doesn’t seem he’s aware of it himself. or if he is, he’s kept it suppressed way deep down and is sort of projecting on the MC.

also the ML finds out that our MC isn’t the real ellen pretty quick,,,, and one time they’re in the middle of fucking when one of the knights and edwin walk in and then ML keeps going to piss edwin off (and he does get pretty jealous lol though he just hides his taste by saying “i’m not interested in a live show” or smth like that) which was actually a huge turn off for me,,,, i’m not into exhibition and like the ML is kind of an arrogant dick

mmmm also the real ellen is alive and he and the MC are twin brothers

and that’s all i remember at this point.... and it just makes me realize that i still don’t really dig this manhwa all that much, definitely taking this out of my reading list lol

I have so many questions... So does the missing jewel have anything to do with the crown prince's identity? Why did the crown prince need to hide Ellen? Does Ellen know too much? Why did Edwins father adopted Ellen into the family? They mentioned that Lai's village was burned. And there was a note in the box that Ellen kept for Lai to find. This story is messed up with a huge love triangle. I feel like each character had no background that explains their past.
