From reading the raws, to my understanding he does not remember until I think he was doing something to the Uke and he kept wondering and asking the Uke “why do you hate me so much” etc and then his past flashed before his eyes and he basically gained memory of what happened and what he did so he started apologizing

The Emperor is really a reincarnation of the past one, howeverrrr, it looks like he's the "good" part of him? Considering he's treating MC uke better, for example, waiting for his consent and love, and NOT ACTUALLY KILLING PEOPLE. The question is where tf did the "bad" yandere side went? Did the bad karma washed away?
