Given the time period, it was rare that people of noble classes actually make legitimate friends. Ever hear the saying “Love is for commoners”? This is in reference to the fact that among the nobles, marriages were more about politics and power, than love. Now I know that we’re talking about friends here, but the premise is the same. Nobles usually only made “friends” with people who could help them in some way and we’re easy to get rid of. That’s why, as sad as it is, Leslie only really has her family and Konrad. Now granted, another way you could look at this is, because she has her family and Konrad’s affection; she may have the rare opportunity to marry for love, as opposed to politics
It's kind of,, bothers me that Leslie doesn't really have any relationships outside of her family, servants, and konrad imo. Maybe this is just me being wayyy to use to the MCs having friend groups, but it makes me kinda sad that Leslie really doesn't trust anyone outside of her fam. Makes sense considering all she's been through tho
