YEAH! I am 22 now and I cringe so hard when I read mangas with characters that are in highschool and so 14-17. I cant relate to them at all and I cringe qhen they talk about real love and such things.
Dude same I’m 22 too and reading abt these high schools talking abt soul mates is just... I cringe especially hard at omegaverse stories where the alpha and omega pair up for LIFE while still in high school!?! the thought of marrying the trash I dated or even a crush on in high school makes me want to donate my reproductive organs to science. Yaoi where the characters are much older seem so much sweeter and sensual.
Yeah. I never knew that I would feel this way. I have been reading mangas since I was 12, so for 10 years. And I enjoyed it till I turned 18 myself and realized what a bunch of crap those whole plots are. Haha. I still enjoy stories where they fall in love and etc but not if thdy act like its for a lifetime.
