I get the feeling it was planned. Like he just happened to pick a kids history book that shares some information about the past empress. Not a whole lot just enough to gauge their interest. Now they want to know more. Only he can twist the information. He can imply things without saying it directly. Then they will draw their own conclusions. They think of him as a child compared to their 23 years of age. So they don’t know he’ll lie to them. Anyway that smirk he had is just evil. He’s gonna lead them to the wrong conclusions.
