What about it? I think in Korea it’s common to refer to people with "titles" like, older brother, older sister, aunt, uncle. I’m Korean, and actually my parents rarely call each other by name, instead they use dear or darling, and refer to each other as mom or dad. I think that’s what’s happening here.
