I agree with you. Moreover it’s quite surprising as there should more choices (and thus more opportunities to find good manhua), China being a very populated country with lot of artists
I believe it's due to the censorship the Chinese govt enforces. The people there probably don't know any better, and the artists that do, have to play it safe by using common cliches since anything out of the ordinary could have them thrown in jail.
lol fr the characters are always so one-dimensional like some authors just never leave any room for their growth. their character developments are basically nonexistent so there’s no depth to them. lots of wasted potential especially since their art is pretty good. also idk if it’s just me but they’re also kinda..hard to read??? because the dialogues are chunky ASF, seriously one text bubble will be a fucking paragraph. so that’s something they can improve on as well

Well I'm glad that I'm not the only one that is normally turned away from Chinese manhwa. Its gotten to the point where I'll be on here looking to see if the art style is Chinese (Yall totally know what I mean subconsciously) or if I notice that the author or the alternative titles are in writing that doesn't look like Japanese or korean. But yeah I think that it has to do with the government over there. Its unfortunate but the culture also heavily surpresses women so it shows in the manhwas and being a westerner I ain't about to read that without getting frustrated.

okay so I don't know if I'm the only one but I feel like I have a bias against Chinese mangas(manhwas?). I feel like the protagonist female is always weak or the men are complete and utter trash. Idk if that's just the algorithm flooding me with misogynistic manhwas but can anyone recommend me any Chinese manhwas with a badass female lead and not horrible love interests? I don't want to be biased against Chinese manhwas any more. Also, thank you!~ (●'◡'●)ﾉ
