I seriously just believe they just added the pendant to the story

My garbage brain would have remembered it
Like I can remember thing that will be useless to me later
But I forget the important things
Example
I can remember what my step mom wore when I noticed my dad started dating her and I didn't even meet her that day
It was a green shirt with pink lettering (actually it was a number) but She also wore tan capris and white tennis shoes
I CAN REMEMBER THAT FROM 10+ YEARS AGO
Yet I can't remember if I ate breakfast this morning

I think ren gave kyoko a pendant as some sort of trade of love or some shitsomething bout she having to take care of it to give it back later on

Nahh if you re-read the story from the beginning, you'll also noticed the necklace appear in Tsuruga-san from time to time even before it's mentioned ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Don't worry guys. The pendant only starts to have a story starting on chapter 282. He's wearing it since chapter 1, but it was never a subject that had been discussed before. He gives her the pendant in sign of his love and she gives him her special stone "corn". I actually prepared a resumé of the entire story by chapter, so that the fans can find their favorite part going through the summary. If you guys have the time, you can get through the entire story in 7 days. I'm such a huge fan !
