The ML is almost, if no just as bad as David. He relentlessly pursued the FL, then assumed she was a slut and a conniving woman, called her to her face a money hungry whore, let her business and reputation fall, argued with her in public at the ball, and after getting his ass chewed out by Evie he 'saved' her reputation. And even when she came back to help him and his company, he still called her money hungry. I dont like how quick she was to forgive him. If your significant other treats you the way he did, that's not a healthy relationship.
Instead of talking to her about, "hey what did you mean by that thing you said" or "what happened in your past", you know BASIC communication, he made assumptions and horrible decisions that deeply affected FL. In the span of what, 8 pages, he gives her a bonus saying he knows she's money hungry, then says he loves her, and and then he says he wants to marry her?!?!?!?! And she so quickly forgets how many horrible things he did and said to her?!?!?!!? Smh
