I didn't quite understand
The Emperor, Duke, and Marquess all like the previous Empress. Shuli looks like the previous empress. The empress is commenting on how the play the Marquess left for them. It seem obvious to that the crown prince has feelings for MC. Eventually, the ML and step son will like MC. They all have similar preference as their father.
If it's to why I can't help but laugh when the empress commented about it. Is because she is pretty damn right.

I was reading the spoiler on from another website. It's interesting how all 3 sons have the same preferences as their father. Also, how Heidi thought that her son will have the same preference as his father, therefore ask MC to talk to ML more.
