As readers, we are allowed to critique the manga without writing our own manga. We can consume things and critique them without needing to be creators ourselves. So there's no need to use that absolutely pointless argument.
Also, no one is saying we want to a short predictable love story, lol. For me, I want something that isn't draggy OR a predictable love story. I've noticed this is neither, which is sad. Saying something that is problematic on the other side of the spectrum isn't going to change the problems this manga has.

It's not like we deeply hate this enough to drop this manga. But it's also understandable to be frustrated especially after years of subscribing to the story. Can't the readers even rant a little? It just means we love it enough to the point that it seems like we cant wait for another month for an update, no need to be rude about stupid stuff.

As someone who grew up reading this manga for almost a decade, I still check it from time to time because the characters used to mean a lot to me. I don't think it's a crime to express my disappointment about the lack of closure from a manga I grew up with.
I also don't think it's wrong to critique a manga when its storyline is problematic. Sure, I can drop it, but I can also express the kind of change I'd like to see in its storyline. I'm allowed to have opinions about the things I consume even if they aren't always positive! Hope you understand, but if you don't, it's okay :)

The chapter only updates once a month and we alr know the author/artist is working hard for all the details in the story. Obviously it’s gonna take years. I’ve been following this manga for years as well and compared to other stories I’ve read which updates once every week, this basically has a bit faster progression imo. And This is not even fully focused on romance, but kyoko’s life in general and the path she takes in her career. So reading comments about how they just want the story to end alr and both the main leads to get together and shih is disrespecting the author’s time and effort put into their work. If you want just romance, go somewhere else. Rant all you want but don’t disrespect the author’s work as I see some people doing in the comment section. Just bc the romance progression is a bit slow, theyre gonna talk shit about this whole story.

Hmm, I'm not sure what manga you've been reading that updates once a week but has slower development, but I've read webtoons that update faster and have better development than SB. So I do believe there are both sides to the coin based on both our experiences!
Yup, even tho the manga focuses on Kyoko's life in general, there have been generous portions of the manga devoted to her r/s with Ren, hence we're particularly invested in that aspect and want to see development. As for Kyoko's life, she hasn't been in any particular drama or movie as high-profile as Dark Moon over a 100 chapters ago, so it's pretty slow moving too. Her new historical drama hasn't even started filming yet. Stating the plot is slow doesn't mean it's disrespectful to the author — I think it's constructive criticism.

We literally just said we're also okay with the pace of the story but it's only natural to feel frustrated because of how long we need to wait. Again, we're loving the story and we didnt find it annoying for the romance progression to be slow. We also respect the time the author needs in order to create a chapter but as I've said, readers can't help but want to know more about the story because we LOVE it and not just because the romance is slow burned.
Hope you understand, but if you don't, it's okay :) [2]

Idk why you’re coming here to argue and say “WE” as if I was directing my comment to you personally? Why are you trying so hard to defend those that were literally being disrespectful to the author instead of simply sharing their wish to see faster developments and such? My comment was directed towards those being a literal piece of shit and not care at all about all the efforts put into making Skip Beat and you’re here justifying yourself. Were you talkin shit about the manga? No? Then please go on ahead with your day and ignore this. What’s not clicking?

I used "we" because Rain already stated that they liked the pace of the story and I agreed. Not particularly talking about the whole mass of people who wanted to read it faster. And I'm not trying to defend those that were literally being disrespectful to the author,(to hell with them just drop this if they exist) I just wished for you to be a little bit more understanding for some of the readers that would feel frustrated because of the pace bc you generalized everyone who was getting antsy for the plot as somebody who wants a "typical romance story that's predictable as shit". Heck I wouldn't go as far as defending anyone that's being an asshole just to be deemed as another asshole so you're right about me justifying myself and also the people who replied to your comment. And that's what's not clicking.
Then again, you have a point that I should just go ahead with my day. So if it's still not clicking, then good day to you. :)
Honestly? Go write ur own manga if you can’t stand the progress of this story. I’d rather have this slow burn than another one of those short predictable love story some of yall keep asking for.
