In the novel, I think the intermission chapter, the Queen and Prince Consort have a conversation on her treatment of Pryde and the reason why she does so. Honestly, I have no real opinion and am just following the wave of comments on that chapter; but the reasoning is stupid

I really like this manga but there are some characters that I do not like. I find the mother/queen annoying. I know that she has a lot of responsibility as the queen but she is still able to visit her other daughter; Why can't she visit Pryde too. I also know that tiara (the younger sister) has a weak constitution but that is not an excuse to neglect the other daughter. What kind of mother would give such blatant favoritism. Tiara is able to see both of her parents but Pryde can only see her father. I't unfair /(ò.ó)┛彡┻━┻
