Same here, was preparing for some very broken English or messy text or something, but it's all perfectly fine as far as I can see.
thought so too but so far their translation has been pretty impressive.
I'v heard Deepl has a higher quality translation than google and the person cross references with Jisho to make sure certain characters/meanings match and the fact that they're ESL could show that they have quite the potential in becoming proficient in many languages
