it's pork that was finely chopped, corned(or salted dunno the correct english here) pressed and seasond. By cooking it turns solid thanks to the gelatin as far as I know.
It has a very strong distinguished taste so it's not to everyones liking but having it combined with lighter sides (like with the rice, as that's how I eat it sometimes) it's very nice =)
