Ok, you're a nice person so let me rephrase it-
I agree that bierasure is a thing on mangas but I don't think that the seme (or the author) meant it like that-
I think that it was just brought up in the argument part as a "yo I've always only been in relationships with women but now I'm into you so you can either get over it or just reject me" type of thing you know-
because he seemed really comfortable with being into a man himself, the scene with his friend and the whole "i wanna be your boyfriend without the quotation marks" I think showed that very well.
But anyways I really liked this manga, I was expecting it to be a horny festival with the cover so I was pleasantly surprised ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
ohh i see what you mean :-) i mean yeah there are definitely worse that i’ve read and the writing w this manga was quite pleasant as well i guess some people just continue identifying as straight regardless and it did play into the plot point of the mc being afraid he was being used by a straight guy to be experimented with but in the end it was about a straight guy that fell in love w him and ended up being his lifelong partner ^^
the writing and art was great; don’t get me wrong..! but the “i don’t think i’m gay but HE is the exception” trope gets a bit tiresome it’s lowkey bi-erasure/biohobic being somewhat romanticised repeatedly like aren’t y’all tired..,,
