I don't defend rape, and I will never, but in fiction, sometimes, people choose to be blind for a minute and erase all the problematic stuff that they read. Sometimes it depend of how strong the problematic stuff is. In yaoi, often the rape is more like a coerciting/pushing way than a violent way so it easier to pretend we didn't read that. Sometimes people just want to read toxic relationships tho so they don't pretend to not see it at all but they are aware of the fact that it's toxic. And of course there are people who are fine with rape because they think it's a part of the "I was a bad man and I changed because of love" plot.

Not everyone can do that and it's really perfect if you don't but I wanted to explain your question

They didn’t say it had anything to do with not liking it, they were suggesting the person was new to y’all because yaoi isn’t meant to have much plot, romance, etc, so reading it and expecting to find more romantic moments or love between the couples is what someone who hasn’t maybe read as much would look for. Lmao, so since some of y'all are really something else I will explain the meaning behind my first comment (I guess?). I've read the first chapter (1-3) and was a little disgusted and disappointed but not shocked - I'm not new to yaoi. But after reading up to 12th chapter, seeing how the dad is pretty much allowing the maid to do anything and the maid 'FALLING IN LOVE' with dad, it clearly begins to be a r0maNcE. Also, a brief look at the comments showed me that everyone is just like 'YASSS, WE LOVE A GOOD UNHEALTHY COUPLE' and that made me a little upsetto #－.－).
I just don't want people to think that rape will lead to love, even if its fiction. Σ( ￣□￣||)

If it would be a one shot or a short manga where they would not 'fall in love' then I wouldn't care that much...
