esther's twin manages to find a way to turn her into a human, although he himself already died and is now a vampire. (and yes she almost died at one point but she's now human with leon) but the ending was left pretty ambiguous cos it was hinted that she could sense vampires again and the main villain supposedly made a subtle re appearance... perhaps there will be a second book? ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
