I like yaoi that I can see love in but if there's no love then I like an exciting plot to keep me going.
POTN was just too much rape and I felt too bad for the uke cuz he kept on dealing with things he didn't deserve. The plot points ended up being mostly about their societal hierarchy which wasn't interesting to me at all.

buuut, i wanna answer ur question now that i know, so imo i enjoyed reading POTN, the art style is beautifullll but yes the point that the uke gets raped a few time is disappointing but i wasn't surprise since rape is very common within bl/yaoi :(
but season two is coming out soon and i feel like season 2 will be a lot softer than season 1 (hopefully lol *crosses fingers*) + the uke is SOOO pretty and adorable like bruh howww, but yes he does go through hards time which he does not deserved like what the comment above said.
overall i would recommend you to give it a chance cause you never know if you like it or not! :D but if you're not okay with rape and if you're not a fan of historical stuff then i think this manga is not for you. hoped i helped! <3
Yoooo,just my opinion here.I don't exact remember any rape scenes...hmm maybe cuz of my bad memory, but the first time they do it happens when the uke gets drunk. Till now,that is regarding 1st season,the plot was well paced for me. The seme is known to be homosexual among everyone in town and he doesn't give a rat's ass to their opinions but there seemed to be an undertone of some heavy dark backstory there like ...spoiler.......it seemed like he wasn't gay to begin with but seems like his father might have been the reason for that rumour??cuz he frickin hates his father and there were some hints her and there..anyway,these things might be revealed in the 2nd season.The 1st season mainly focuses on the painter.He isn't weak,my brave boy,people might see him as weak but in my opinion, this pure country boy endures everything to protect the one he loves (you will know about him if you decide to read)and seme is not the one who really hurts the uke.And I'm very excited for the 2nd season because we may get the insight into seme's past. There is definitely attraction between the two, and the art!! Don't even get me started. I mean you might not like this manhwa but just give it a try.

-the art is pretty like some of the characters on their are the prettiest/sexiest that I have seen
- the plot makes it to where I don’t really know what the seme is think half the time. I also do not know any thing form his past, but all I know he is Notorious for being a fuck boi, and I believe the reason he is a fuck boi is because of his father.
- the uke, I to swear to God the cutest thing out there. I seriously can’t get enough of him.

Can someone tell me plz if POTN is actually worth the hype? A lot of people say the same is super hot and the story is good, but others say it’s just not that good and it’s also way too rapey. I don’t want to get into it only to realize that it’s not going anywhere and realize the characters and/or plot sucks or smth, so can someone plz give an honest review? Or like say if the characters are whiny, childish, and/or unlikeable bc dat is a definite deal breaker for me. Thxxx.
