nope it's because she's being controlled by the original flow of the story. after all, they were supposed to end up together. but because the emperor fell in love with the empress, she doesnt have a chance. she's just confusing her feelings or basically being manipulated by her supposed feelings had the story not changed.
She’s only inlove with the idea of being loved. Noticed she didn’t have these feelings until it was whispered in her ears that she was destined to be the Empress because of the legend. If I remember correctly she was having relationships problems before she left right? Maybe she assuming this is her second chance at love. I’m not defending her at all. I very much dislike her attitude and the fast development.
