Exactly why is it that in 2019 the story was not racist ect when there was no English translation but all of sudden since there has been an english translation persons have a misconception that the manga was released in 2020 and the author wrote it in connection with the movement ?? The author clearly didnt mean anything offensive .There are all may stories with similar plots yet no one says anything nor feel offensive .Persons pick and choose what to complain about
look the mvmnt started years ago its just that it got more into light this year and everyone is waking up ,still i dont think it has anything to do with the mvmnt its just characters that are of a darker complexion than the others thats it if people think its racist then they shouldnt read it
the characters here aren't black but they are naturally dark-skinned, it's not cause they're slaves that they got tanned or anything.
i came to the comments and saw all the comments about blm . honestly when i read it i thought nothing about the skin color idk if im insensitive but i dont think the author made them darker shade than the other characters just because they are slaves
