Annakin actually comes from the previous relationship of the marquis, so like at first we thought iris and him had the same father, so half siblings, but now it's revealed that the grand duke could be iris' father, so they're not blood related

Ok, can someone please explain to me how Anakin and Iris are (supposedly) related. I thought that they shared the same mom while having differnt dads (Anakin coming from their mother's pervious relationshiop and Iris coming Duke(?) Forrest...so if Grand Duke Oscar is her actual father...shouldn't her and Anakin still be related? Were they actually supposed to be related on their fathers side and I got confused or is she adopted cause...they originally had different fathers to begin with, her father being somebody else shouldn't stop them from being related.
