The mage than started to see her as she is, however i really want her to be with prince

Yeah, i know this is cruel. But, he did that after he become mad. He was madly in love with her, and after her disappearance he could not contain himself and so imprisoned her, so she will be by hos side. He, himself realise that this is cruel but can not still do another thing due to his felling of love, fear. Its similar to how mothers pritect their child absurdly after he or she went missing (of course im talking to rare cases where people are not mentally stable enough to endure this). Im not justifying his abusive nature or smth like that, but i just hate more of her being used to be a substitute.
Like, i mean, if she had talked to him and not rejected or pushed away him and, in opposite, confronted him, i think his mental stability might have improved and after that she would gradually be free from him. It just how it works with people who have this type of problem (or with nervous system, i know, as my lil sister was like that, she was really mad and irritating due to problems in the moment she was born and so we agreed to almost everything or just tricked her for 3 years, and she became normal and now got less troublesome).
