dropping it bc the mc is so oblivious and dense

i hate how in manhuas the “love aspect” in the story never fully develops because the main character is always so dense/innocent when it comes to love. this manhua is good if only they actually put more thought into progressing their relationship in the romantic way. now, the second leads have come along and i imagine it’s only gonna get harder from hereon for them to actually grow closer.

im already 150 chapters in but the love part of their relationship has not even been touched on since the master refuses to acknowledge her feelings and it’s getting so tiring waiting for something to happen. the plot is so unbelievably linear since they hardly have any chances for the love aspect to develop which for me, makes it unbearably bad. i imagine that this will have a similar ending to other manhuas with a rushed bad ending, trying to convince the readers that they fell in love in the last few chapters or so even though the only thing that the author has been doing is keep the main characters apart since the beginning.

for now i cant fully decide whether it leans more towards the good/bad side because of the whole fiasco i mentioned but ill be dropping this since its getting too tiring. overall, im just disappointed bc i thought this would be a good read but it only ended up leaving me unsatisfied and w a bad taste in my mouth.

Because the primary genre of this manhua isn't romance. The primary genre is action/adventure, so the romance aspect is not as important as the Xianxia adventure elements and so it takes a backseat. If you want to read about characters getting together quickly and being romantic, read manhua's whose primary genre is shojou or romance. The target resolution of this story isn't their relationship, it's the two main characters increasing their power, the ML regaining his rightful place as a prince, and unravelling the mystery of why the FL was reborn again the the past.

In fact, the reason behind the mysteries of the FL rebirth ties into both the romance aspect and its resolution and also one of the reasons why the FL is so mentally resistant to the ML feelings for her.

Yup. I would probably drop this if they are lovey dovey from the start. Cos she's underage
I prefer this way the manhua slowly develops into increasing their cultivation and goal rather than love as main interest..
