I feel like this wasn't supposed to be boys love. In a sense, it was like Killing Stalking. It wasn't supposed to have a happy ending. After reading the first chapter, people should have been able to realize 'This isn't gonna have a happy ending'. It's a psychological breaking story, it's not supposed to be cute and end well. Yui was scarred due to past trauma and Kei was the same. Their relationship is not Love. That was made clear in the beginning. I feel like it's showing what this kind of thing can do to ones mind and soul.
