He was abusive when they dated, and forced Chiaki into the relationship. Read this for Chiaki's story: http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/ore_no_oniku_chan/
I still love this pairing... but i agree i do want to see him apologize to chiaki. And even though that wouldn't do it justice i still think he should beg for his forgiveness to chiaki. In the end we cant change the things we did in the past. But we can at least try to change and i feel like masaki did change so i can look past it this time (dont get me wrong i still agree hes a jerk. But if he cant be forgiven then what is he supposed to do? Cry? Be mad? Sad? Angry? For the rest of his life?) To me he deserves his ending with tsubasa if he really means his apology (i feel like tsubasa changed him enough to make him realize when his actions were bad)
Idk if u have such parents or not. The hardest thing for u is when u love someone from the moment u r born and yet u feel like hating them every second cause in their own troubles parents many times do not understand the loneliness that kids feel. Will apologizing even do a damn thing? Apologizing never necessarily lifts off a burden sometimes it makes u more hollow. He can apologize if he wants but I still think it's better to treat what he got(our uke) in good way instead of useless apologizing. The mental pressure of being lonely to the point of using violence isn't easy. He already lived such a life and u don't even want a good ending? Everyone makes mistakes. Cause when ur life's hell, it hurts to see others happy.
He may have had a really difficult life, but that is no excuse to make someone else's life miserable. You can't justify taking out your own issues on someone else. And yeah, even if apologizing wouldn't have helped the situation, it would have at least shown that he felt some remorse for what he did. From the way he talked to/about Chiaki even after their relationship had ended (in the other book), you can tell that he really doesn't feel that bad about it. He blackmailed, raped, and hit someone without ever facing any consequences for it.
I understand what you're saying, and I agree that he should be given a chance to redeem himself. All I'm saying is that being nice to a completely new person while completely disregarding the way he treated someone else isn't good "character development". Like if you recall from the other book, Masaki said some really disrespectful things about Chiaki years after their relationship ended. I would have wholeheartedly accepted Masaki's development if he ever acknowledged that what he did to Chiaki was wrong, or if he even felt some kind of guilt (no apology required). It seems like he was just able to brush off what he did as if it were nothing.
U misunderstood me. I ain't saying what he did was right. But "being nice to a person while disregarding the way he treated someone" this is what basically never allows ppl second chances. That's why criminals remain criminals instead of changing for better. There r many criminals who don't wanna be bond by their past and start a new life. But its ppl like u who don't even give them the chance. No one brushed off what he did as nothing. But he has changed for good and also has his right to be happy. Don't u think u should think about good happening to this "new" self of his instead of thinking about punishing some old self that does no longer exist? Chiaki may never talk to him, maneuver forgive him for what he did but even that can't take away his right for being happy cause he has changed for good. Believe me no one uses being hurt as an excuse to mistreat ppl. It's just removing ur frustrations. He said bad and did wrong but wasn't he left alone again in the end? This is a very beautiful and admiringly good plot manga. U r just uselessly perusing old would which no longer effect their lives.
Im not saying youre entirely wrong. But i have to disagree with some of it.
First he wasnt nice to the uke (i forgot all their names lol) the uke kinda forced himself into the semes life. And he didnt just let the uke live with him because he was nice. It was because he felt power whenever he hurt others. All his life. As long ad he hurt and threatened others. They obeyed him and he liked that. But the uke liked the pain and didnt leave and he didnt leave when the seme was nice either. So he was able to interact more with the uke than with the ex and he was able to find love because of the uke interacting with him.
The ex wasnt with that. He didnt like pain and was forced into it (which is entirely inexcusable. Im not saying that this is right)
Because the ex was forced into it the ex hated the seme and he didnt interact with him and so the seme didnt recieve love from the ex
Also i think in my opinion he did feal bad.
It wasnt that the seme hated the ex. He tells the uke that he really loved him (i forgot where exactly but they talk about the ex at some point)
I dont think he was hurting the ex on purpose. (Like he didnt want to cause him that much pain) but the people around him only listened when he had power over them and i just think he grew up thinking that way.
(I mean its still wrong what he did but i just dont think i can entirely blame everything on him.)
Also i do think this deserved one more chapter showing more of his development because in the last two or three chapters i think was barely the begining of his change
Actually i think he just said those things about the ex because he was jealous or something. (If youre talking about the first book where he says things to the exs' boyfriend)
Because in the second book. When he is talking to the uke about his ex. The uke asks him something (i forgot what exactly) and he responds saying "yes i thought i loved him" (something like that tbh i forgot) so i dont think he was in the right state of mind when he was dating the ex.
No its not right and he shouldve had a bit more consequences. Buuuuttt in cases like these it isnt ENTIRELY his fault.
He obviously needed some help. And fortunately he had the uke to help him
Outta three of ur replies. This is the only one I could agree with somewhat. Both he and the uke needed help and they both helped each other. And if I talk about having consequences, there can't be worse consequences than being alone all again. When he did that with Chiaki he left the only guy who was with him at that time basically back to his old lonely life. Believe me what lonely ppl want the most yet r scared of accepting it at the same time is happiness. So this was the best consequence for him where he himself fell in love and doesn't wanna lose this happiness. There is no better way he can understand what he did wrong. And this also was the best part about the author. Basically everything is has its gr8 end and the end that suited them. It ended happy and it had a gr8 chemistry in between the seme and the uke. This story is even better than that first book and the originality and depth of feelings in this one execeeds that gr8ly.
Really? I thought i was pretty much saying the same thing in all my responses.
But see at first i was somewhat agreeing with you as well but now youre just pushing it.
He doesn't REEAAAAALLLLYYYY deserve some consequences?
Why?
Because hes lonely?
Big deal man like what? Everyone is lonely. The ex didnt deserve it. Imagine what the ex felt? Someone was using him. Threatening him. Abusing him. And he wasnt fighting back because he was scared his dad would find out about him. He didnt have any friends. He didnt have a mom (as far as i remember). He doesnt seem to have many relatives or any other relationships other than his dad. The seme. And the exs' current boyfriend who was barely a friend for him a the time
When his dad passed away what do you think he felt?
That he felt love? Cared for?
Yes i feel bad for the seme that he was lonely. But that does not make it okay and it does not mean he doesn't deserve consequences.
I do see him changing for the better which is why ive been defending him. And i do think he feels remorse for what he did to the ex. Im glad he found the uke who changed him.
But he deserved more consequences.
If you really think he didnt deserve to be bashed for what he did. Idk. What to tell you dude.
Again. He DOES deserve happiness and im happy that hes changing to be a better man.
But i wouldnt have minded some jail time for him.
Lmao, u wrote too much. Haha, I didn't read it all. But let's conclude this. Even Chiaki wasn't that after him having consequences. He has his bf now and Chiaki has one for him and they r all happy. Ain't it enough? Jail? Lol he didn't even send anything. Yh he was rough and all with his partner and blackmailed him but he wouldn't do it any longer and is staying away from him. Some faults need to be compromised for a better stage. Living better doesn't necessarily means everyone pays for what they do but it means they realise themselves and don't do such a thing any longer.
Yo stop being petty and just read all of it
(Nah jk i know i wrote a lot lol but i think you should read it. Or else idk if it makes sense)
But no. Just because chiaki is living good now doesnt mean he didnt suffer when he was dating the seme.
For example:
If someone beats someone up so bad it almost kills them. But he meets someone who helps them get their life together they fall in love and the person becomes happy. And as a bonus. Becomes rich.
Does that mean the person who beat them up doesnt have to apologize? Or feel bad?
Even if he didnt spreak it he blackmailed the ex into having sexual relations and abused him
Youre the one whos misinterpreting it.
I never said he should suffer. (Im pretty sure the person who wrote the original comment didnt mean that either)
He deserves CONSEQUENCES not to suffer. Not to feel bad forever or to never be happy. He should feel bad for his actions. He can still live a happy life or whatever.
Theres a difference.
Thats why next time you should take your time and read the FULL comments other people write in your response. Instead of blindly arguing
I told ya I didn't read it full. I told ya I have no business arguing. But the one who put up this topic said "he didn't deserve such a good ending". That's what I was against. No wonder since this topic has got so many dislikes too. Its u should make ur meaning clear and stop with the useless accusations. I originally told I was against the fact of saying he should not live a happy life. Lol. It's not me who is arguing lady. R ur eyes just for fucking decoration? Its u who should hold ur horses before looking ppl to argue. Haha
You can hate me all you want for this, but I really don't think Masaki deserved such a good ending. He never apologized to Chiaki or even showed any remorse for the way he treated him. What he did was really messed up, and not even his "tragic" past can justify it. Him treating Tsubasa nicely will never make up for all the horrible things he did to Chiaki.
