err.. no.. Fern is about 17-ish. They met 20 years after the hero's passing and Fern was a child then. right now the story has progressed to 8 years later making her somewhere between 15 and 20

thanks for the clarification, I was loosing track of Fern's age too. I had a hunch she was at most 30 as well lol.
Since we're mostly seeing this story in Frieren's POV, the creator has a way of easily sweeping us into her pace (￣∇￣")
