They died. They walked off the ledge, and drowned together. You can see that as they have their hands tied together, the last scene was the senile grandma hoping that they were happy together. And they presumably were in heaven or something of that sort.
So from my understanding, they’re ere in a run because on of them supposedly killing someone. But he was fault accused and had no memory of the event as the guy drugged him. And so he ran away. The prosecutor who almost killed them, wanted the bounty on them (2 mil), but another dude who was also fast accused killed him before he could do anything.
My guess is that this story is about convicted felons who are innocent, and how ppl will active accusing people to get money. So guilt ppl are not always guilty.
I’m so confused rn i have so many and there’s so many things that the author didn’t cover i also didn’t understand the ending, did they die? Went to prison? What happened?!
