Don't you think Heli and Medea's relationship is similar to that of Daenerys and Ser Jorah? Lady Medea is the Daenerys Targaryen of "Ser" Heli. He is her greatest admirer, her faithful servant. He is the one who has sworn to adore her and protect her, the one who would give his life for her. It doesn't matter if the romance between them happens or not.
