Same! Magrita's situation is sad, but her existence is literally toxic to those around her, and she's very naive. I think this situation, where Athi has to ask Claude to save her friend, is more true to they really are, and healthier for everyone. Athi gives more than she gets. It's natural for us to resent someone who hopes for the same treatment without the same work. Being 'suddenly loved' is a naive expectation, or bad storytelling--or in this case, toxic magic.
The Tragedy of Jeannette: brought up sheltered and with expectations that Claude would accept her into his family; that blood ties are what make a family. In turn this actually drives a wedge between her 'sister' and her, and the father doesn't even love her.
Tune in next time to see if her sheltered naive self gets manipulated into doing something stupid. Honestly though, its hard to hate her but not easy to love her.
Honestly I hope that she doesn't get in their family cause she doesn't deserve this half ass love that athy can barely afford and claude who can only care for what he love and doesn't value human life whatsoever and view them as merely insect kind of guy. Hopefully she ends up happy with her real dad and athy just end up with claude this way everyone can be happy
I got some satisfaction when he didn’t want to save her but told Athy to be careful so she wouldn’t get wet
┗( T﹏T )┛ does that make me evil?????
