or maybe Japanese mangaka need to step up their game because if it continues this way, they will be overshadowed by Korean BLs in no time.
idk a lot of the manwhas ive read are basic
rich ceo/other seme with sad or dark past getting together with plain and basic uke that either gets in a fight with them, or works for the seme.
plot don’t even matter if you got everything down.

i like them equally. if it's about plot and art i think that always depends on the author. it's just that manhwa are like long series so the plot is longer, the conflict are more complex and we got to see the character being lovey dovey for longer, it's like they feed our thirstiness. but sometimes if it's too long it can be boring for some people. as for manga, they're shorter so it's somehow simpler. but it's good to see how some author can make a forgottable moment out of a short story, it's not easy i think. and manga is a nice option for someone who's easy to feel bored and since it's short we can read it to fill our free time.
