Sure banana fish hit hard and I reallly felt empty after I watched it but ash’s death didn’t make me cry or anything for two reasons, Fckin shorter’s death hurt me and the aftermath of that one where everyone was crying and shit really showed you how much they cared for him. And the second reason, in the anime ash’s death was left as an open ending when in the manga, he was confirmed dead. Take that as you will. Another thing, is how ash is slowly breaking down each episode. Which are a bunch of reasons to cry. But like you, I did not. at all lmao.

I was too dead inside to cry at the ending of Banana Fish. It destroyed my soul. I'm not even sure my body can produce tears anymore.

I cried watching ep 9 though.
